Meet the Bissette Family
Allison Bissette is an EMS training Captain with Johnston County Emergency Services EMS Division, with nearly two decades of experience in emergency services. Allison is a single parent to a medically complex daughter, Avery. Avery has a rare genetic condition. Allison has a strong passion for pediatric emergency care as a paramedic. She has extensive experience as a Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC), a North Carolina EMS for Children Advisory Council member, a Safe Kids Coalition Coordinator, a Child Fatality Prevention Team member, and a regional crisis management team member. Allison worked with the EMSC to secure Carter Kits for every EMS unit in her EMS system. She has provided multiple trainings on Carter Kits for various public safety agencies. Allison has a Bachelor’s in Emergency Medicine from Western Carolina University. Allison volunteers annually with a Night to Shine Prom, she also is a volunteer softball coach in her community.

Meet the Howell Family
Staci Howell is a Paramedic with Greene County EMS in North Carolina. She has served as a First Responder for 20 years. She is focused on bettering her community and her family. Those who’ve nominated Staci state the she “always goes above and beyond to serve and care for others in need and to take care of her family and raise her children.” Staci is a single mom of four and works very long hours often pulling overtime shifts. Her and her 6 year old daughter Kinsley are looking forward to experiencing Walt Disney World this Fall on their Rewarding Responders family vacation trip! Meet the Fishman Family
Sarah Fishman has been a dedicated first responder spouse holding down her family and supporting her husband, Matthew, who was a Deputy Sheriff before his life was tragically cut short in the line of duty. Sarah has been a beacon of strength, courage, and inspiration to her community and beyond as she leads her family! We’re honored to partner with Honor Our Firsts to send Sarah, Nolan (15), and Kara (12) to Walt Disney World this fall!
